The vast majority of our metal work is sold from stock. We deliver anywhere in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Our lead times are as follows:
Parcel sized deliveries in boxes are delivered on the next working day if ordered before 1pm. A tracking service is provided with your order.
Bulky items are delivered within 1 to 3 days
Fabricated items are delivered within 1 to 5 days depending on the complexity of the work involved
Saturday deliveries are available. There is a small premium to pay depending on the dimensions of the order. Our sales team can advise you on this.
Our glass is manufactured to your exact dimensions. Lead time on glass is usually between 1 and 3 weeks. After you have placed your glass order, will give you a date for delivery and then contact you again the working day before delivery with the drivers name and number and an ETA for the delivery.
Side Fixed Channel Juliet Balcony
Our side fixed channel systems allow you to enjoy fantastic frameless views from your balcony.
Our side fixed channel systems can accommodate a number of different glass thicknesses. To meet building regulations, if your balustrade is protecting a fall of 600mm or more it should either have a laminate glass (two pieces of glass bonded together) and/or a handrail.
The profiles are supplied with holes on both the inside and outside of the profile. This allows you to pass a fixing through the profile and fix from the inside leg of the profile into the wall. We then supply cladding which clips on to the outside leg of the profile to hide the fixing hole.
All of our side fixed channel systems are fully tested to the required line test for a domestic balcony at height (0.74kN) when fixed to steel or concrete. The test certification is available on our website or we can send you the relevant certificate on request.
Our side fixed channel systems can be supplied with a slotted tube handrail. This sits on top of the glass and is supported by a rubber gasket that sits between the glass and the handrail. As an alternative to a handrail can consider having Glass Stiffeners. If you are fixing to timber or brickwork, we would recommend having some form of support at the top of the glass panel.
As standard, our side fixed channel balustrade are supplied in a natural anodised finish. This is a smart, dark silver. We can powder coat the profiles to any RAL on request.
