How to Clean and Maintain Your Glass Balustrade

Are glass balustrades easy to keep clean?

Whether you are installing your glass balustrade inside your home or in your garden, they require minimal maintenance and are easy to clean, making them an ideal option for all homeowners. However, just because they don’t require a lot of maintenance that doesn’t mean you can neglect them. If you want them to stay shiny you’ll need only three things, soap, water and a soft cloth. Using your cloth and soapy warm water you’ll be able to remove marks and dirt and tough stains. Top tip if your balustrade system is dirtied with bird poo we suggest cleaning it as soon as possible to make the removal as easy as possible. 

To keep your balustrade looking shiny and new we advise our customers to clean their glass balustrades every 6 months. This does depend on where your balustrade is installed. If it is in a high-traffic area that’s going to get fingerprint marks all over you may need to clean it more regularly.
