Origin Architectural recently completed this installation on a decking area for a garden in Orpington Kent.
The drop from the finished floor level to the ground was less than 600mm. To comply with building regulations the customer subsequently did not have to have a handrail. The customer was very keen to make her balustrade look as frameless as possible. She subsequently decided not to have a handrail. The customer was also in a real rush to get the balustrade completed before a party that she was planning for her friends. She subsequently decided to order her glass at the same time as her posts. Using our software we were able to calculate exactly the size of the posts. This saved the customer from installing the posts first and then measuring between each post. From the date of order to delivery of the glass was unbelievably only a week!
We also supplied the customer will all the fixings that she needed to install the posts. We suggested using 70mm long coach screws which went straight into the decking. We supplied 3 fixings for each post. It was simply a case of lifting the base cover and then fixing it through the base plate. It could not have been easier!
While the customer was not close to the sea or a swimming pool, we advised that she should regularly clean the stainless steel tube and fixings to ensure that residue did not build up on the stainless steel and cause them to discolour. We advised that this should be done 3 or 4 times a year.
The customer was delighted with the overall result of her glass balustrade in Orpington, Kent. Contact us today for a free, no-obligation quote at 0113 277 4316 or email@example.com.
