Do you need a new fence but don’t want to obstruct the view? A glass balustrade is a perfect option for you. Origin architectural recently completed the supply of a Viola glass balustrade for a customer in Preston.

This customer came to us wanting the perfect balustrade for her garden. She had a 13m run and didn’t want to obstruct the view as she wanted the minimal but affordable option. We opted for the Viola system as it was ground level so didn’t need a handrail to comply with building regulations.

Our Viola system is made up of stainless steel 42.4mm tube, 316 stainless steel clamps and base plates with 10mm toughened glass. There is also the option to add a 316 stainless steel handrail with the option of 42.4mm or 48.3mm tube. If you live near the sea there is also the option to have your posts mirror polished to prevent the posts from rusting from the salt spray.

We recommend installing our systems to either concrete or steel for the most secure fixings. This is exactly what she did. There are also options to concrete-in the posts where the posts are slightly taller and have no base plate but sit securely in the concrete- these posts can be made custom to your needs.
