First things first, let’s figure out what you’re fitting into! Where feasible, we would recommend that you fit into steel or concrete for the most secure fixing, if you’re fitting into timber it’s worth having a conversation with our team to ensure the balustrade is structurally sound. The material you’re fitting into will affect the fixings required for the balustrade, but it will usually be some variation of an M10 or M12 countersunk fixing.

Once that’s confirmed, it’s time to measure. Using your tape measure, measure the dimension of your hallway span in millimetres if possible to get the most accurate dimension. Not only will our warehouse staff cut your base rail to the exact size you require, saving you so much time in messing around with electrical tools. But our fantastic team will also create bespoke glass sizes for you suited to your particular needs, creating a beautiful and bespoke solution at a fraction of the cost of hiring an installer.
